Vargas isn't a grat pitcher. He's deceptive and has decent offspeed stuff. He'll get a great chance during spring training to make the rotation, but will projects better as a spot starter/mop up pitcher.
The Dodgers have a history of success with this position and I think Vargas will fit into the pitching staff nicely.
