How About That Bullpen

Often times you'll hear announcers claim a key to success is knocking out the starting pitcher early, and getting to the opposition's bullpen. To that I present you with tonight's pitching box score...

ERA is certainly no end all to judging a pitcher's success, but try telling that to Arizona who had to go from 2.59 to 2.23 to 1.83 to 1.33. They started off facing an Ace and ended being vanquished by the King.

Love your Blog. You're a very good writer. This series vs. the Phils is key. We beat them 2/3 in their park but our bats have cooled since then. The Dbacks and the Rockies are pathetic competition and the 4 games vs the defending champs will be a great test of how good our team really is. I'm predicting a split. Also why hasn't Manny been hanging around after his workouts to meet with Joe and the team? According to the LAT he leaves before anybody shows up. I would think he could help some of our guys with his insight. I'm worried he's staying out of sight for some strange reason.

Blue Gal,

Thanks for stopping by. I share an office with a Phillies fan so the barbs have been flying all week.

I don't know what's with Manny, but I can imagine there is still lingering shame in him. He's been exposed as a cheat and might be having a hard time showing his face.

I also enjoy your Blog, the piece about the gluttony that takes place in right field was absolutly hilarious.

Thanks for reading Steven. You ever sat in the AYCE Pavilion?

No, I'm from Tulare (I saw you mention Porterville and Bakersfield so you must know where Tulare is) but when I get around to games, I try to get Field Box seats. Bleachers just don't do it for me. But $17.50 tickets for a ball game and 10 dodger dogs seems amazing especially if they threw in that difribulator. Also in case you haven't gone, Dodger Games in San Fran are way better. Cheaper, better field, and better weather. Only downside is the seats are made for the health freaks that they have in san fran and my ass just doesn't fit comfortably!

I'm from Lemoore so I know all about Tulare. Wimpy's Burgers baby!

Never been to SF for a game, but it will be accomplished in the near future. Got to disagree with you about the field comparison though...

Yeah I guess the field sucks, but I think the ball park is better. Try the Gilroy Garlic Fry's. I work in Hanford and Superior Dairy has Wimpy's beat!
